Why
We tried to enter two years ago, but forgot. We tried again the next year but didn’t get accepted. So, when the challenge came up again we entered. We got our entry form in on the very last day and a few months later, got the e-mail of acceptance.
We both have a love of driving cars and couldn’t think of a better way to have a full-on, three week ‘burn’ across some extremely challenging terrain.
We are also trying to raise some cash for good causes. When we get to Banjul, our car, Corkey Too gets auctioned off along with the others that make it. The cash raised here goes towards improving local amenities – plus some locals get some cracking cars!
